Nicole O'Riordan - Artist

About Me

Nicole O’Riordan was born in Gibraltar in 1963 and now lives and works in London. Nicole graduated from City and Guilds of London Art School (2013) with a BA Hons Fine Art Painting, having decided to pursue her artistic passions after many years working in the NHS.

She has consistently used the still life genre to explore themes from bereavement to ageing and singleness, predominantly using oil paint and various drawing mediums from biro to traditional silverpoint, to express her ideas.

Nicole states ‘I work from life, and always having the object before me enables me to maintain the relationship I have with the item, ponder its meaning and create imagery that goes some way to expressing the feelings and emotions that reflect my experience of it.’
